Zhvillohet në Vlorë takimi i Këshillit Drejtues të “Community of Mediterranean Universities”, nën koordinimin e Universitetit “Ismail Qemali”. Në datën 10. 12. 2022, në ambjentet e Hotel Regina City, Vlora, në qytetin e Vlorës, u zhvillua mbledhja e radhës për vitin 2022, e Këshillit Drejtues të Komunitetit të Universiteteve të Mesdheut, (Community of Mediterranean Universities), nën koordinimin e Universitetit “Ismail Qemali”, Vlorë.

Ky aktivitet u mbështet edhe nga presidenti i Regina Group, z. Vasil Bedini. Community of Mediterranean Universities, (CMU), është themeluar në vitin 1983. Ky rrjet universitar synon dhe punon të mbështesë lirinë dhe pavarësinë e kërkimit shkencor, mësimdhënies dhe kulturën e paqes në botë.

Në këtë asosacion bëjnë pjesë 160 universitete nga 20 vende të Mesdheut, të cilat krijojnë dhe ndajnë vlera akademike e humane mes tyre. Si anëtarë aktiv i këtij rrjeti, si anëtar i Këshillit Drejtues të CMU dhe si koordinator i IAL shqiptare, UV jep një kontribut të vyer në mbarëvajtjen e axhendave dhe aktiviteteve të përbashkëta me fokus kryesor cilësinë e mësimdhënies, kërkimit shkencor dhe edukimit.

Merrnin pjesë në këtë takim anëtarët e Këshillit Drejtues të CMU, (rektorë dhe zëvëndësrektorë) të cilët përfaqësojnë 160 universitete nga 20 vendet e Mesdheut, si Itali, Portugali, Izreael, Tunizi, Egjipt, Turqi, Greqi, Malta, Qiproja turke, Universitetit Politeknik i Tiranës, Instituti i Gjeoshkencave, Tiranë, etj. Mbledhjen e kryesoi presidentja e Këshillit Drejtues të CMU, prof. Kristina Robalo – Cordeiro, përfaqësuese e Universitetit të Coimbra-s, Portugali. Takimin e çeli prof. Roland Zisi, Rektor i UV, në cilësinë e organizatorit të këtij eventi dhe koordinatorit për IAL shqiptare.

Në fjalën e tij ai fillimisht u shprehu mysafirëve të nderuar mirëseardhjen dhe falenderimet e ngrohta të UV, për besimin që treguan në organizimin e këtij aktiviteti, në qytetin e Vlorës. Më pas, ai u prezantoi të pranishmëve, një panoramë të plotë të profilit akademik dhe organizativ të UV, të rrugës së përshkuar prej tij qysh nga viti 1994, kur çeli për herë të parë auditoret për studentët e deri në ditët e sotme.

Rektori i UV, Prof. Roland Zisi, riafirmoi edhe një herë synimet kryesore të institucionit që drejton të cilat lidhen me rolin dhe funksionin e kulturës universitare në jetën e shoqërisë, me sfidat në fushën e kërkimit teknologjik dhe shkencor, si dhe me krijimin e lidhjeve të përhershme ndërmjet universiteteve mesdhetare e europiane, nëpërmjet shkëmbimit të ndërsjellë të përvojova shkencore.

Më pas punimet e Këshillit Drejtues të CMU vijuan me Workshop-in me temë: “Impact of covid on the medical schols performance andresilience: case studies”, gjatë të cilit anëtarët e këtij këshilli, referuan problematikat e procesit mësimor të institucioneve të tyre, gjatë periudhës së vështirë të Pandemisë Covid-19.

Përvojën dhe sfidat e UV gjatë kësaj pandemie, i paraqiti Zëvëndës rektori për Kërkimin Shkencor dhe zhvillimin institucional, prof. asoc. Enkeleid Mëhilli. Në pjesën tjetër të takimit anëtarët e Këshillit Drejtues të CMU, vijuan me rendin e ditës të cilat lidheshin me përmirësimin dhe modernizimin e programeve të studimit, mësimdhënies dhe kërkimit teknologjik e shkencor, bashkëpunimin për realizimin e projekteve kërkimore të përbashkëta, si dhe me zhvillimin e konferencave, seminareve dhe takimeve ndëruniversitare në të cilat të konfirmohen rezultatet dhe produktet e kërkimeve në teknologji dhe inovacion.

The meeting of the Governing Council of the “Community of Mediterranean Universities” took place in Vlora, under the coordination of the University “Ismail Qemali” Vlora. On 10. 12. 2022, in the premises of Hotel Regina City, in the city of Vlora, the scheduled meeting for the year 2022, of the Governing Council of the Community of Mediterranean Universities, was held under the coordination of “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlora. This activity was also supported by the president of Regina Group, Mr. Vasil Bedini. The Community of Mediterranean Universities, (CMU), was founded in 1983. This university network aims and works to support the freedom and independence of scientific research, teaching and the culture of world peace. 160 universities from 20 Mediterranean countries participate in this association, which create and share academic and humane values among themselves. As active member of this network and also as a member of the Governing Council of CMU and as a coordinator of the Albanian HEI, UV makes a valuable contribution to the progress of joint agendas and activities with the main focus on the quality of teaching, scientific research and education. Participated in this meeting members of the CMU Governing Council (rectors and vice-rectors) who represent 160 universities from 20 Mediterranean countries, such as Italy, Portugal, Israel, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Malta, Turkish Cyprus, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Institute of Geosciences of Tirana, etc. The meeting was chaired by the president of the CMU Governing Council, Prof. Kristina Robalo – Cordeiro, representative of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. The meeting was opened by prof. Roland Zisi, Rector of UV, in the capacity of organizer of this event and coordinator for Albanian HEIs. In his speech, he first expressed to the honored guests the warm welcome and thanks of UV, for the trust they showed in the organization of this activity, in the city of Vlora. Then, he presented a complete panorama of the academic and organizational profile of UV, and the development of UV since 1994, when it first opened the auditoriums for students until today. Rector of UV, Prof. Roland Zisi, once again reaffirmed the main goals of the institution he leads, which are related to the role and function of university culture in the life of society, to the challenges in the field of technological and scientific research, as well as to the creation of permanent links between Mediterranean and European universities, through the mutual exchange of scientific experiences. Then the work of the CMU Governing Council continued with the Workshop on the topic: “Impact of Covid on the medical schools performance and resilience: case studies”, during which the members of this council referred to the problems of the educational process of their institutions, during the difficult period of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The experience and challenges of UV during this pandemic were presented by the Vice Rector for Scientific Research and Institutional Development, Prof. Assoc. Enkeleid Mehilli. The members of the CMU Governing Council continued with the agenda, which were related to the improvement and modernization of study programs, teaching and technological and scientific research, cooperation for the realization of joint research projects, as well as the development of conferences, seminars and meetings among universities in which to confirm the results and products of research in technology and innovation. At the end of the meeting, the members of the CMU Governing Council made a short visit to Aula Magna of UV, where also took place the official photo of the activity.
